Our consulting firm has been founded around the promotion of coaching
and team building in France in '89, an emergence of meaning as a
steering principle in organizations. Since we evolve, still starting
from emergence of meaning, toward reconception of organizations by
building a shared vision and deploying it among the organization,
empowering people, improving sens of responsability instead of
odedience.
Our job today, is collective intelligence emergence.
We work in competitive firme as well in non profits. We are
particularly dedicated to aclimate our experience built in huge firms to
small non-profits (see my book "Managez vos associations!" 1992).=20
As fundamentals basis we refer to the works of Bateson, and
all the authors of general system theory (Bertalanffy, Lazlo, Le
Moigne....) which allow us to build a teological approach, placing first
human peojects and values in innovation processes, social and
organizational change.
We have already trained 200 consultants (internal or external) to steer
change.=20
Our field of intervention is improving since two years in more and more
technical fields so as reconception of car conception process: what is
the
paradigmshift to cross from a cartesian approach, exclusively technical,
of conception toward a systemic, non deterministic, approach of car
conception? What are the changes to be realized in social relations, in
building a collective intelligence, in living in uncertainty...
For instance, we improve a cycle of scientifical and philosophical
conference for engeneers to help them to build what we call a "bagage
culturel minimal" to understand this new vision of the world. We would
appreciate to welcome scientists from PCP (still today the condition is
to be abble to work in french)
We now now start a new training in oct 97, supported by ou web site
-under construction - that will be the opportunity to consolidate all
our knowledge. PCP is for us a very precious resource. We particularly
appreciate your nodes on systems principles, reflexions on global brain,
your nodes on emergence (very useful to found conception as an
arborescence of system -tree systems).
Our challenge is to cross - to reconciliate? - pratice of philosophy and
epistemology, and engeneering, whatever the field is : building cars
taking in accounts ecological and social concerns, social engeneering,
building sustainable societies and organizations fouded on the common
good.... every fiels where paradigm shift is essential to succeed our
entry in the 3rd mill.
Our contribution to PCP could be:
1) Sharing our basis of knowledge, by connecting and relating
our web
site to PCP, by publishing on fields that are not addressed still today
by PCP : applications to concrete industrial, social and complex
situations of the fundamentals described by PCP, since we are
practitioners before beeing philosophers
2) Greeting contributions, forums animated by people from PCP on
our
site or realizing live conferences of cross fertilizations (I remarked
with hightly interest your Magritte meets Einstein), and vice versa
3) We are building a partership with the universities of
Berkeley, San
Jos=E9, Santa clara via the company WDHB ("Doing business for a better
world" which as been fouded by Pascal Baudry http://www.wdhb.com/),
research centers in
Quebec, in Belgium and french Switzerland - or more we are becoming in
demand in german switzerland.
3) My personnal projet is achieving writting a second book on
the
common good ("le bien commun") as a new referential to think the
complexity of the world, thus the old paradigm of public management
doesn't work anymore (I am graduate of the ENA)
