Subject: New WWW site on autopoiesis

I'd like to notify you of a new WWW site concerning autopoiesis
and its relation to enterprise / organizational studies. I'd
also like to suggest that it would be a relevant pointer to add
to your excellent Principia Cybernetica WWW site (which is cited
in the WWW pages described below).

===========================

In response to an invitation from ACM SIGOIS (Association
for Computing Machinery -- Organizational Information
Systems SIG), I have constructed a set of Web pages on

"Self-Organization, Autopoiesis, and Enterprises".

This is the inaugural installment of ACM SIGOIS's series entitled
"Illuminations". The goal of this series is to bring novel and
cutting-edge ideas and research to the organizational computing
community.

The material includes:

-- An overview of self-organization in enterprise studies
-- An introduction to Maturana and Varela's theory of
autopoiesis
-- Discussion and examples of autopoietic theory applied to
enterprise / organizational issues
-- A substantial bibliography
-- Pointers to relevant / related Net resources
-- A suggested reading plan for further study

The entry point for Web browsing is the URL:

http://www.acm.org/sigois/auto/Main.html

Enjoy!
