On further consideration (I don't know why this sun-thread got this much
attention in the first place. It was just meant as a loose side-comment.) I see
the problem with considering the sun as autopoietic. If I'm not totally way out
an autopoietic system produces its own work structures (these being dissipative)
which maintain itself. I cannot immediately see these structures in the sun or
in the candle. Which would make both systems merely dissipative, I guess.
