no here is the problem...we call this the formation of a percept......then this
is
matched with a formal explanation...that's the encoding

we call decoding the attempt to match the result of manipulating the formal
system
with the observed causal event in the natural system.....the idea of
entailment...causality is central here.....we are describing mental processes
meant
to decipher the external world
