Martin: yes, Don has been a somewhat contentious, but perhaps for that
reason MORE welcome, participant in this list for some time. Are you
seriously suggesting that his views are wrong or invalid just because
he's out of synch with some of us (which he really isn't all that
much)? That seems on its face rather intolerant and arrogant.
Don: I find it hard to believe that just because any of us get
involved politically or try to make political applications of our
theory that that would cause any problem for you or anyone else to be
involved in this list. We all live in the real world. Do you draw some
kind of "sacred curtain" around political activity, or rather are you
convinced a priori that cybernetics, or even scientific theory and
method in general, will necessarily corrupt and/or be corrupted by
politics?
