I heard of PCP through the Directory of Directories on the
Internet.
No URL homepage.

I am very interested in Principia Cybernetica Project because the
three questions you have asked are questions I have been dillegently
working on for a few years. "who am I?" "Where did I come from?"
"Where am I going?"
I have taught theology & philosophy at the High School for a few
years and those are the primary ideas I try to concentrate on. I try
to find meaning where others give up & fail. I have spent my life
wondering if this will ultimately make sense.
I joined the Secular Franscican Order to impose discipline upon a
life of theology. As Nietsche said, a philosopher can only be
believed by how well he lived his philosophy. I look in all
directions for truth. As St Thomas Acquinas said, truth can be found
everywhere. consequently, I do not find myself contradicting my faith
by exploring rather deeply Zen Buddhism or ancient religious practics
as studied and reported by Mircea Eliade. This may disrupt the
orthodox but who can live their life according to someone elses
standards.
Second, I am an avid student of semiotics as introduced to me
through the writings of Umberto Eco. Language, sign, and symbol are
areas of concentration in my current educational experience. How
children understand the world around them (especially, the disabled)
should help mankind understand a lot about himself. As a Roman
Catholic I must confess that ritual and symbol are contagious from a
very early age.
finally, I think it would be a lot of fun. I am sure that
Bertrand Russell had a lot of fun with Principia mathematica and I
know that any exploration of new areas will be exciting and
stimulating with the right format. I do not like the intolerance and
flame wars that are so common to the Internet. I think that will as
neatly summarize my position as I can get in one page.
I hope to hear from you soon. I hope that we will be working
together on PCP. It is a great project to be doing. It has a lot to
contribute to our future.
Thank you.
Marko.
