Greetings,
I represent Knobul Systems, a new organization in Arcata formed to act as
catalyst for diverse sustainable growth within our unique northcoast
community.
A fundamental tenet of KS is that a community is (and a component of) a
natural system, exhibiting the same characteristic qualities as other
complex systems. We strive therefore, to support and promote local
cottage industry, community services, and various means of personal
empowerment via the internet. This connectivity is crucial to the
viability of a small community that hopes to retain the best of its'
rural character while being a player in the 21st century.
Arcata is a world leader in cutting edge appropriate technology,
community planning, alternative habitation and is a cultural
magnet.Humboldt State University is located here and will be intimately
involved in the project,lending its'expertise and resources and gaining
much in process.We believe the addition of online capabilities will allow
Our lessons to be a model for others while importing information,
potential economic influx, and lively ongoing discourse.
I know this sounds like an advertisment but the point is that KS hopes
concepts of system dynamics consistent with those espoused by Principia
can be directly implemented in the planning of future projects and serve
as a central philosophy in our endeavour.I contend that such a world-view
will be fundamental in shaping the future of humanity. We plan to take a
first step here.
