Plato meets Dawkins
Introduction
------------
In my previous articles I have shown that memes are more than brain
viruses and that a broader definition of the meme is needed. I have given
the meme two definitions, namely as "cultural RNA" and as "the cultural
photon". The former is the meme viewed from a Genomic perspective, the
latter is the meme viewed from the Magic Mirrorhouse. In this article I'm
presenting a third definition of memes: shadows of the mind. This, as we
shall see, is the exact intermediate of the two other perspectives. The
new definition serves to bridge the two others and to make it more
natural to arbitrarily interchange between these two perspectives.
