(1) Indeed, I see the society described as a dreadful homogenized blob of
Humanity, with an inbred "world view" and culture, making it difficult if
not impossible for further evolutionary development.
(2) The picture of The Borg for Star Trek kept flashing before me, as I
read about the human "superorganism". Again, I find such a future
absolutely dreadful and disgusting.
