Comments: Discusses entropy based measures of complexity. Defines Effective complexity which is the Algoriothmic Information Complexity of an ensemble of patterns. Thus i hopers to capture the complexity of the regularities of a pattern. Total information is then defined as the sum of this and an entropy terms to measure the randomness in a pattern.
