Comments: Examines a number of measures invented to quatify the complexity in nonlinear chaotic systems. Argues that these are only usefully applied to those systems that can be shown to be equivalent to finite Markov chains and that it is necessary to distinguish between different kinds of complex behaviour along the lines of Chomsky's language hierarchy.
